Leading U.S. chipmaker Nvidia, along with its global workforce, has mobilized a substantial sum of $15 million. The funds are directed towards Israeli non-profit organizations actively assisting civilians affected by the ongoing conflict with the Palestinian militant group, Hamas.

This significant contribution, orchestrated through a specialized program by Nvidia, witnessed participation from thousands of employees spanning over 30 countries. Their collective donation amounted to $5 million, a sum that Nvidia generously matched and doubled, resulting in a historic $15 million donation. This act stands as the largest humanitarian fundraiser in Nvidia's three-decade-long history.

Gideon Rosenberg, Deputy General Counsel at Nvidia, expressed pride in the widespread support from Nvidia families across the globe. He conveyed gratitude for the collective prayers and shared hopes for the safe return of their colleague, Avinatan Or, and other hostages currently held by Hamas.

Avinatan Or, a 30-year-old engineer who has been with Nvidia since April 2022, was captured during the Nova music festival on October 7. Alongside his girlfriend Noa Argamani and approximately 240 others, Or's situation has prompted a compassionate response from Nvidia's global workforce.

The heartfelt contributions made by Nvidia employees aim to support various organizations in the region, including Asor Fund (JGive), American Friends of Magen David Adom, Doctors Without Borders, Friends of United Hatzalah, IsraAID (US) Global Humanitarian Assistance, Jewish Agency for Israel, World Central Kitchen, and Zaka.

Beyond the financial contribution, Nvidia has also extended support in kind, donating hundreds of computers to families evacuated from the northern and southern regions of Israel. Additionally, the company has provided thousands of hot meals through its Yokneam office cafeteria.

Nvidia's multifaceted effort underscores its commitment to aiding those affected by the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. This humanitarian gesture reflects the company's ethos of corporate responsibility and global solidarity during times of crisis.
