Airbnb raised its full-year 2026 revenue growth forecast to the “high teens” after reporting third-quarter results that topped Wall Street estimates, and shares jumped more than 10% on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, according to Reuters and Yahoo Finance. The vacation-rental company said global leisure travel demand remained resilient even as some hotel and online travel peers have sounded more cautious about higher airfares and geopolitical risks.

Third-quarter revenue rose about 19% to $4.87 billion, and diluted earnings per share were $3.16, compared with $2.21 a year earlier, Reuters reported via Investing.com. Yahoo Finance said those results beat S&P Global Market Intelligence estimates of $4.74 billion in revenue and $2.85 in EPS. A separate Investing.com premarket note put consensus revenue near $4.75 billion. The company also authorized a new repurchase program of up to an additional $12 billion of Class A common stock.

Bookings growth and regional trends

Nights and seats booked — a metric that includes room stays and service bookings — rose 16% to 155 million in the third quarter, Reuters said. Bookings grew by a “low-double digit” percentage year over year in North America and in the “mid-teens” in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. About 35% of guests whose first Airbnb booking is a hotel later return to book a home, the company said.

CEO Brian Chesky said on the post-earnings call that the company was “back in growth mode,” pointing to accelerating demand across regions and continued momentum in newer markets, according to a Reuters follow-up carried by Investing.com. Chesky also said hotel bookings accelerated during the quarter and that hotels were growing “markedly faster” than the core home-rental business. Yahoo Finance quoted Chesky saying Airbnb delivered its fastest revenue growth in more than three years, with acceleration in its most established markets and nights booked in North America rising at their fastest pace in four years.

Outlook and buyback

Airbnb now expects 2026 revenue growth in the “high teens,” compared with its earlier “at least mid-teens” forecast. For the fourth quarter, it guided revenue to a range of $3.22 billion to $3.28 billion, implying growth of about 16% to 19% and above a Street midpoint estimate of about $3.16 billion cited by Yahoo Finance and Investing.com. The company also forecast an increase in adjusted EBITDA margin to approximately 36% for the full year, Yahoo Finance reported.

Investing.com’s Friday premarket movers report said Airbnb shares jumped 11.4% in premarket trading to $189.50 after the earnings release and outlook raise. Reuters later described the Friday session move as a jump of more than 10%, and Yahoo Finance said the stock jumped nearly 10% on Friday. The company held $12.6 billion in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments as of Sept. 30, according to the Investing.com premarket summary.

Industry contrast and AI plans

The upbeat Airbnb outlook contrasted with recent caution from Booking Holdings, Expedia and TripAdvisor, which have pointed to challenges from elevated airfares linked to the Iran war and unrest in parts of Europe, Reuters said. Airbnb said underlying global travel demand remains healthy even as it monitors developments in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Customer support cost per booking fell more than 17% year over year, with about 40% of support issues resolved without a human agent, up from one-third in the second quarter.

On the earnings call, Chesky outlined plans for Airbnb to build its own AI-powered travel agent to help guests plan and book trips, Yahoo Finance reported. He said Airbnb understands its marketplace better than a general-purpose AI agent and can change reservations more easily than an outside agent, and that the company is developing a custom AI-native interface rather than a traditional chatbot. Jefferies analyst John Colantuoni said growth was broad-based, with all major regions posting faster bookings growth and first-time bookers reaching their strongest pace in several years, Reuters reported.
